Drive-through robbed at gunpoint

A Harrison Twp. drive-through was robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.

The Ready 2 Go, located at 6640 N. Dixie Dr., was robbed around 4 p.m. According to authorities, the suspect was dressed in dark clothing. The person's face was covered. It was unclear as of Sunday afternoon what or if the suspect got away with anything.

No one was injured in the incident, according to Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies. Trotwood police and Butler Twp. police also responded to the scene. The suspect fled on foot, and at one point two different K-9 units were searching for him. Their efforts were unsuccessful.

The investigation is ongoing.

String of vehicle break-ins on Rustic Road

Police on early Sunday morning responded to a string of vehicle break-ins on Rustic Road.

Around 1 a.m., police determined three cars had been broken into on the block. As of Sunday morning, the investigation produced no arrests.

Two of the vehicles were parked on the west side of Rustic. The first, a 1999 bronze Ford F-150, had its driver's side window broken out. Nothing was disturbed inside.

The second vehicle, a 2000 silver Dodge Stratus, also had its driver's side window broken out. As with the first break-in, nothing was taken out of the Stratus.

The victim of the third break-in was able to provide a description of a suspect. That person said he saw a man inside his 1999 Dodge Durango. The suspect fled, but stole a Pioneer CD player from the vehicle.

The suspect was described to police as a black man, between 25 and 35 years old, about six-feet-tall and 170 pounds. He was said to be driving a dark, four-door Chevrolet Caprice.

Body pulled from river after search

Rescuers have pulled a body from the Mad River after crews spent hours searching for a missing person.

The search ended at about 6 p.m. when crews recovered a body near the Webster Street Bridge.

Scanner traffic and witnesses at the scene indicated that a boy fell into the river near Keowee and Valley streets. At 5 p.m., the shore line was taped off and Metroparks crews were leading the investigation. Also on scene on scene were Riverside police, along with Dayton police and fire officials.
